The man who stole the show at the second US presidential debate has broken his silence about becoming an instant viral sensation.
Kenneth Bone, who was one of the last undecided voters to directly ask candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton about a personal important issue, instantly became hailed the hero of the debate.
While his focus was on energy policy, it was his red jumper that won the crowd over...and it almost didn't happen.
"I had a really nice olive suit, that I love a great deal, and my mother would have been proud to see me wearing on television," he told CNN.
"But, apparently I’ve gained about 30 pounds."
"When I went to get in my car the morning of the debate, I split the seat of my pants all the way open. I'm glad it worked out."
He later explained to Jimmy Kimmel Live that he and the others weren't allowed access to their phones before the debate and were given disposable cameras in exchange.
"We were sequestered for 14 hours with no electronic devises," he said. Joking, "Several people wasted away to nothing with no Twitter access."
"This is an unusual political cycle, it’s been so negative. I try to base most of my decisions on positive things, and neither of them have given me any.”
No biggie, just our man Ken Bone snapping some pics on his disposable camera, living his best life https://t.co/R1wtQepSvS
