Award-winning comedy writer and producer Kevin Curran has died aged 59.
The well-known writer spent a total of 15 years working on 'The Simpsons'.
He died in Los Angeles after a long illness.
Spokeswoman Antonia Coffman says Curran died Tuesday.
Curran is well-known for his 'The Simpsons' episodes 'Don't Fear the Roofer' (2005) and 'The Winter of His Content' (2014).
He won three Emmy Awards on the show and was also nominated for a Humanitas award for his 2010 episode 'The Greatest Story Ever D’ohed'.
He had previously worked on the 'Late Night with David Letterman' show and also wrote for 'Married... With Children'.
He won three Emmy Awards for the animated series.

He is survived by his two children, Dashiell and Romy, with former partner, Bridget Jones writer Helen Fielding.
