A 41-year-old man has been arrested this morning in relation to the feud related murder of David ‘Daithi’ Douglas.
Detectives from Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda Stations arrested the suspect in a dawn raid in west Dublin.
The suspect is the fourth person to be arrested in relation to the murder and a 35-year-old man has already been charged in relation to the shooting.
Douglas was shot up to six times in the head and chest outside the entrance to the Shoestown shop at Bridgefoot Street at around 4.10pm on July 1 by a lone gunman.
Convicted drugs dealer Douglas was targeted as he walked to his wife’s shop after attending a family funeral earlier in the day.
Douglas had previously survived a shhoting near his Cabra home in November of last year.
The father-of-one spent a number of weeks in the hospital being treated for his injuries after the botched shooting at Killala Road.
